I am a very DIY heavy individual with a few years of construction experience, so thinking about hiring out any contractor to do work I am unable to do is a bit daunting.After receiving quotes from four other companies, Drew and his company stood out above all the rest by a wide margin. My wife and I are renovating our Cape Cod style house, and the attic/upstairs living area was a disaster insulation wise. Unlivable. Drew came in, and I could immediately sense his wide array of knowledge, experience, and thoughtfulness towards our project and budget. He clearly laid out what he recommended we should do, what we shouldn’t spend money on, and why he was recommending what he did.What sold me on Drew and his company was the trust I felt knowing that our project would be cared for. I knew that if there were issues to arise in the work, he would stand behind them. However, I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams his crew that came out - Jason and Colton. From the minute they stepped into my home, you could tell they knew what they were doing.They completed the work in a timely manner, and when I said goodbye and went upstairs to check out the work, I was blown away. Every small detail was thought about, taken care of, and instantly validated the cost and experience. Drew from VerWys came out to my home and crawled through my attic on a hot summer day. He is an absolutely saintly man. He assessed that there were several shortcomings in my ventilation and insulation, consulted a roofer colleague on the phone while at my home and together decided that somethings might help and others might not be worth the effort. That honesty sealed the deal. His crew came out and insulated the pony wall in my attic and cleaned up after themselves. They were quick and did a great job. The added insulation has helped keep my home cooler this summer. Many thanks to Drew and his crew.

Home improvement projects are not my favorite. Some are better than others, but in our case we needed a new roof. And new electrical. And insulation. And it all needed to be done at the same time. This was not my favorite.Managing a project like this, as a homeowner, is daunting. Drew came to my rescue in a huge way. Not only was he thorough and helpful and amazing with his insulation part of the project, he co-managed basically the entire project with me. It was so important to him that everything go smoothly for our project. As with all big projects there were unforeseen issues (pretty major in this case) but he and his crew thought of creative solutions that would get us the best possible outcome while keeping the roofing and electrical crews also on schedule.In the end, the project finished as we expected and we are very happy with the results. Our house has maintained temperature much better and it actually feels more comfortable as a result. I was skeptical neither of these would actually be true given how our roof is constructed so I am pleasantly surprised.More importantly, Drew and his team truly cared and we felt taken care of. This has not been typical in our construction/contractor experience so they were a wonderful breath of fresh air. While we hope to not need their services again, they would hands down be our first call for any future project we may have. We 100% recommend VerWys for anyone that values trust, honesty, relationship, and value.From the photos, you can see the complexity of our roof. VerWys put together a solution to insulate all areas of the roof, using a combination of materials and techniques to make sure everything was well insulated.

Their team came out were able to complete a ventilation and insulation project promptly in a single day. They were extremely polite to my wife and I. They were also able to accommodate a last minute change to the project. We really appreciate their efforts and already noticed a difference in our home's temperature after they left. We're very excited to keep the house cool and not always feeling like we need to run the AC. We look forward to the winter energy savings as well. Can't wait to see how this lowers our energy bills. I am a first-time homeowner and was up against a roofing, ventilation, and insulation issue that I could not figure out the solution to. Drew at VerWys Home Improvement then came out and offered me something that few other contractors would - free advice and consultation with no expectation of compensation. When his first solution (spray foam) was still to costly for me, we talked more and landed on dense-packed cellulose in the slopes of my ceiling, and 12 inches cellulose in the kneewall attic flat. I'm going to be doing some foam board insulation and gable vents myself to save money, and Drew took the time over multiple phone calls to advise me on how best to complete these projects. He was upfront and honest about return on investment with the different solutions, and really helped me make a decision about my goals with this home. The least I owe him is this review. We haven't even completed the project yet, but I came here to say PLEASE give him your business! You won't regret it.

I can’t say enough good things about the crew that came out to do my insulation! These guys were professional, came right in the morning on time and jumped right in! They split up into twos for each area, had their equipment ready and worked non stop and didn’t stop until short lunch and when they were finished they walked around and cleaned up completely at the end of the day! They answered all my questions , were respectful and just an all round group of great guys!… I highly recommend this company!

Drew carefully assessed our heating/cooling problem (outside air affecting one bedroom), educated me on various factors contributing to the problem, and gave me good recommendations (that won't even benefit his company financially). Let me Tell you that you're home will be healthier and your home heating and cooling cost will save you enough money to save for a vacation. This company is hands down the very best at making you're home comfortable and the best investment that pays better than your 401k monthly. Thank you for the tremendous time and effort your team did on my home. Taking care of the mold and sealing the basement sill and removing all the insulation and putting in brand new clean 20 inches of insulation in the attic.

Randy came out and assessed the current insulation in the attic of my daughter’s house. He provided us with pictures of the attic and gave a fair estimate for the improvements he would recommend.They worked with us on an a convenient date for the work. The crew arrived on time and literally “dove” right into the job. They crawled from bay to bay in the attic to install ventilation baffles. The crew added additional insulation and fashioned a new access panel to the attic for better performance. They also cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly.I would definitely call them again for any future work. Mark.

Drew and his team were fantastic to work with! Drew was able to walk through his insulation recommendations and provide the why behind each one. He was quick to get us scheduled and the team was able to complete the project in about half a day. As someone who works from home, the team was very respectful, kept me in the loop on where they were at with the project and let me know if needed to relocate from my office. This was our first large home project as new homeowners and we were so happy to have chosen Ver Wys for this project. They did an excellent job and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to take on their next home improvement project.

I meet with Drew the owner yesterday he cam to my home inspected my insulation in my home. HE WAS VERY PROFESIONAL didnt try to sell me anything extra that i didnt need. HE was very educational to me filled me in on lots of things. No high psi sales. There was things i asked him about that he told me he didnt want to waiste my money due to it wouldnt help me out in savings. Was just all around impressed with the experience with him. Very reasonable price. I would tottaly reccomend him for anything and everything.

I reached out once again to Ver Wys Home Improvement for another project on my 100 year-old home. Ver Wys gave me a quote on new windows and a new patio door. I told them they may have to "think outside the box" on this one as I knew there had been a lot of "DIY" done throughout the years. Ver Wys did an excellent job with installation!! The windows and patio door are beautiful! Installed in 1 day. These guys knew what they were doing. Any challenges, they were on top of it. I had Ver Wys Home Improvement insulate a previously uninsulated attic that was converted to living space 14 years ago. They had lots of previous experience in old Grand Rapids bungalows, so they knew exactly what to do for my house. They worked with my roofer to complete the job while the roof was off so they could access areas not easily accessible any other way. The team was great to work with and left the job site clean.The difference in comfort level is amazing - it is now a comfortable temperature in both warm and cold weather and I am starting to see savings in my energy bills. I wish I had done this years ago!

My house, built in the 30s and added to in the 70s, was a nightmare to insulate. There were 3 separate attics, knee walls, pocket attics, and a large cathedral ceiling upstairs that contained inadequate cellulose or fiberglass insulation that had my roof an icicle/ice dam factory in the winter and impossible to cool well in the summer. Drew Bleeker of VerWys Home Improvement, after several visits to measure and plan, came up with a way to insulate this mess by removing cellulose, spraying closed cell foam in nonventable areas, and doing so from inside and outside the home. We timed this to be done while we were replacing our roof. VerWys was able to closely coordinate its work with the roofers so that they could get at impossible spaces when the roofers removed roof decking. It was a complicated and difficult job but it was done in a day! This is a highly competent and professional operation. Complex problems are their bread and butter. Already this summer there is a huge difference in my ability to cool the upstairs space. I look forward to a winter without raking snow off my roof or worrying about leaks and damaged plaster (as happened regularly). If you've got a complicated insulation problem, this is the place.Peter VDM

Had several companies come out and provide estimates for attic insulation. Ver Wys was in the middle of price quotes. I was very pleased with Drew and the way he explained everything to me and talked about several options for completing my project. VerWys Home Improvement is great! We've worked with them twice now for attic insulation and more recently for side wall insulation. In both cases they were very thorough with their inspection and quote for the work they would perform. Also very timely with their appointments and getting the work done very professionally and keeping things clean. Their attention to detail for things we hadn't considered was excellent, too. Overall they did great work and I have already recommended them to friends and neighbors in need of similar work.

After getting quotes from 3 other competitors, I chose to go with Ver Wys for a job adding a significant amount of blown insulation to my attic. I could not be happier - within the same day at the job was completed, I felt a difference. Ver Wys Home Improvement was fantastic to work with to add insulation to our home. Drew came out right away to observe what we wanted done and talk us through what he thought would work best for our needs. Shannon set up appointment times for the different work to be done. All workers were polite and efficient.We had extra insulation added to our attic as well as insulation above our garage which used to be an oven in the summer and a freezer in the winter. Now with the garage ceiling insulated it is actually usable for a workshop.Also included in the work performed was spray foam below our three season room floor and above the patio below. After insulating, soffit was installed to give it a clean look. This insulation was also a life saver as this room was another unusable space most of the year between being extremely hot or extremely cold.I would definitely recommend Ver Wys Home Improvement to anyone looking to insulate areas in their home.

Outstanding experience working with Ver Wys. Drew came out and investigated our insulation related concerns. He pointed out numerous solutions with the heart of a teacher and thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each. The job required one crew to do spray foam and one to blow in insulation and add gable vents in two phases. Each crew was prompt, courteous, professional, and cleaned up when complete. Very pleased with the outcome. I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs insulation!

Verwys was one of four companies I contacted about mold remediation. They were by far the most accurate and professional. They explained how the mold had gotten into my attic (someone less-than-professional had blown insulation into the attic and blocked the baffles that ensured proper ventilation). They explained the process of spraying to kill the mold and then painting to eliminate any effects in simple terms so I could understand it. Their price was extremely competitive, and they offered an optional level of service that would ensure not only that the existing mold was remediated, but that no new mold would form. And they told me that they could get me on the schedule the very next week. Everyone was professional and courteous. I recommend them without reservation.

Ver Wys provided a bid for Soffit Ventilation Repairs. This included cutting openings in current wood soffits, add baffles where needed, and add additional insulation to bring to code.Their crew began work at the the time that was stated. Crew memberswere courteous, work was done during within the time promised and the final bill was as quoted.Ver Wys Home Improvement exceeded my expectations. My wife and I hired Very Wys to come in and address a mold situation in our Attic. We also needed a vent installed for a bathroom fan, and added insulation to the attic. Lastly, we needed a cover over an attic fan to insulate heat loss into the attic.They were very knowledgeable and professional. Made us feel comfortable about the process and how it would go. All questions were handled honestly, and with a courteous demeanor. The work was completed on time, and properly.I would highly recommend them to anyone. Our upstairs is now much warmer and we are using less energy to heat our home. Well done Ver Wys:-)

Highly impressed at Drew's professionalism and customer service. You want a good job, an honest conversation, and attention look no further. He took care of mold removal and some pretty complex insulation job that needed close coordination with a roofing company. I am a guy that has a lot of questions - among them many silly ones. Drew walked me through everything and made it extremely easy. I even called him months later with a question on filling out a rebate form. He called me within a matter of hours. Ver Wys added 12 inches of insulation to our attic in addition to using spray foam to insulate several vertical structures along skylights in our attic. They worked us into their schedule weeks ahead of their estimate, were friendly and kind while doing professional work. I will recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone who asks.
