Tax Credits - Home Improvement
Starting January 1st, 2009 and extending through December 31st, 2010, tax credits will be available to consumers for home improvement projects to their primary residence.
Under the Federal ENERGY STAR® Program, homeowners are eligible for up to a $1,500 tax credit for certain home improvements on existing homes.
Michigan Uniform Energy Code (MUEC)
The Michigan Uniform Energy Code (MUEC) was adopted by the State of Michigan in 2003 and covers all residential and commercial constructions.
The code requires that all new constructions meet minimum energy efficiencies.
How Do I Pass the MUEC?
At Ver Wys Home Improvement, we are certified to qualify home builders for the Michigan Uniform Energy Code.
Passing the MUEC does not require an on-site assessment. New constructions can be pre-approved under the MUEC with only a blueprint. Using the REScheck software, our technicians will determine the compliance requirements for your residential construction projects.
